Summary

Left to go camping with Julie this afternoon. We weren't sure where we were going to go. Originally, we were planning to head towards Oregon and see where we ended up. However, after we checked the weather, we decided to head to Eastern Washington instead.

After looking over the map a bit, we decided to go to Lake Wenatchee, because neither one of us had been there before. We aimed for the "Glacier View" campground, so named because you can see Glacier Peak from it. Since it's still technically "off season", the campground wasn't being maintained. It was still opened, but there was no trash service or anything.

I went to Fred Meyer earlier in the day to buy a bunch of food and such for the camping trip. We were planning on being there the whole weekend.

Since this was the first camping trip of the season, I had to dig all of my camping gear out of the storage room.

Me and Julie, ready to leave.

Julie using my camera to take a picture of herself as we were pulling away.

We stopped in Cle Elum to buy a soda, and we saw this shed that apparently used to be larger.

View of Lake Wenatchee from the beach in Lake Wenatchee State Park. Most of the state park was closed, but they had one set of camping plots open. We didn't stay here though, we kept going to get to the Glacier View campground.

Another view from Lake Wenatchee State Park.

View from near our camping plot in Glacier View campground. Glacier Peak is the one in the distance on the right.

We didn't want to be crammed into my little tiny backpacking tent, so Julie brought her huge 300 person tent. The thing is huge.

Cooking corn over the campfire. Tonight, we had hot dogs cooked on sticks, and corn.

The same picture, taken with no flash.
