Summary

Today, spent another day in Colorado Springs with my parents.

First, took some pictures from the deck to give you, the viewer, an idea of the view they have. If you want to see a panoramic picture (about 300K), Click Here.

Sometime, I believe it was during breakfast, I mentioned that I brought my tennis racket with me, so my dad and I went to my old middle school to hit a tennis ball around for awhile. Later, my parents and I had dinner on their deck while we watched the sunset.

The view of Pikes Peak from my parents' back deck.

Zoomed in a bit on the peak.

The next several pictures are of the view from the deck, starting out looking towards the southwest, and moving to the north. To see one large (~300K) image of the view, Click Here.

This is looking to the southwest. The mountain at the end of the range on the left side of the frame is Cheyenne Mountain, where NORAD is. The trails at the bottom of the frame are part of Ute Valley Park.

Moving to the north. The small ridge in front is Ute Valley Park. The mountain just peeking above treeline in the back is Almagre Peak, which I have been off and on trying to get to the top of since high school. I almost made it there on this trip. On the right of the frame is the beginning of Pikes Peak.

Pikes Peak, and some of the housing developments that have sprung up the last 10 years or so across the valley.

"The scar".

Looking almost straight north now.

This concludes our presentation of the view.
