San Francisco road trip.
Leave campsite near Sisters, Oregon, 10:34 AM.
Arrive Joseph H. Stewart State Park, near Medford, 8:15 PM. Slept in a little bit, because there just wasn't any reason to get up early. Julie wanted to wash her hair somewhere so she didn't feel greasy and such, so we looked for a convenient faucet, but ended up deciding to use one of the water spigots at the Sisters city park that we had almost camped at the night before. Afterwards, we continued the drive. There were a couple nice views of the Three Sisters on the way back towards Bend, so we stopped at those. (Between Bend and Sisters wasn't part of our planned route, we just ended up in the neighborhood while looking for a good place to camp.) From Bend, we headed west, to check out Mt. Bachelor Ski Resort. They apparently have some summertime activities there, but we were there a couple weeks too early for that. Continued on the nicely laid out scenic loop that takes you back south to Highway 97, stopping a couple times along the way. Drove through Crater Lake National Park, stopping to take a few pictures along the way. Most of the road was still closed due to snow, so we didn't get out to hike or anything. After Crater Lake, we drove west on 62, towards Medford, and I-5. Stopped about 30 miles from Medford, at Joseph H Stewart State Park, which is right next to Lost Creek Reservoir.
