Back Up Part 1

Summary

Julie and I were still up in southwestern British Columbia today. We started out the day by having breakfast at this tennis club that happened to be right next door to our condo. It was average for a breakfast restaurant, and by that, I mean it was fantastic. Either I'm really easy to please for breakfast, or it's not hard to make a fantastic breakfast, but you have to try pretty hard to put a breakfast in front of me that I won't think is fantastic.

After breakfast, we walked around the village for a little while again, just to get one last look before we left. There was some police motorcycle/bicycle tour going on, to raise money for some form of cancer or another. Interesting, I suppose, but not interesting enough to keep us there very long.

Once we left Whistler, we decided to go for a hike somewhere nearby, in Garibaldi Provincial Park. There are tons of trails around there, and we really didn't know much about any of them, so we ended up on the Cheakamus Lake Trail, which leads to (imagine this) Cheakamus Lake. It didn't take very long to get there, which was good, since it was already afternoon, and we still had the drive all the way back to Seattle to worry about. All in all, a nice little stroll. The trail, of course, continues on to many places unknown, but exploring it will have to wait for another day.
