Summary

Today was the day to leave for Oktoberfest in Leavenworth, so I worked from home. Since I was on the west side, I was able to take Julie out for lunch at Rock Salt, and I also picked up my leather jacket from the leather cleaners.

(For those of you who haven't been following: I got this nice suede coat earlier this year, in March or April.. I had only worn it a couple of times, when I took it out to Pittsburgh for Carnival. After the drunken escapade Ali and I took to midway to look at the booth, it had paint on it. Because Ali is dumb. :) I took it to the dry cleaner, and they weren't able to get all the paint off, so I had written it off as garbage. But recently, I decided to give it one last shot, so I found this place that specialized in cleaning leather, and 40 bucks later, it's clean!!)

Then, Buckner came over from the peninsula, and we headed out to the cabin for Oktoberfest. It was a much smaller group than usual this year, but we still managed to have a good time. Also, Nick Crain (SigEp guy) came up (he lives in Idaho now), and he brought a buddy with him.

Rock Salt Steakhouse on Lake Union. We had a coupon.

My suede jacket, all cleaned up and ready to go.

People playing pong at the cabin.

...Just so you have a better idea of what we were actually dealing with. It was pretty dark out there. It wasn't nearly as cold as the last couple times. There were clouds and a touch of rain, so that probably kept it from getting too cold.

Keith and Mosely. I don't think I have Mosely spelled right, and I don't remember his first name, but whatever.

Me and Keith.

Keith, Kelly's girlfriend, and Mosely. I don't remember Kelly's girlfriend's name.

Me and Kelly.

First attempt at a picture of Kelly and his girlfriend. Since it was super dark, I couldn't see anything in the viewfinder to aim by, so I just had to point it in the general direction and see how it turned out.

This time I aimed a bit better.

Buckner, Nick Crain, and Nick's buddy (Matt?) sitting around the fire.

Mark couldn't hit any cups, so he tried a different strategy. He still missed.

Me, Mark, and Pete went for a walk around the neighborhood.
