Some weather over the mountains surrounding town. This was also the first year that I made it out for Oktoberfest that Leavenworth hasn't gotten beautiful, sunny weather. It never came out and rained (it drizzled a few times, once for about half an hour), so it wasn't bad, but it was a bit chilly. |
Fall color on the walk from where I parked to the beer garden. |
Along Highway 2. We stopped at the waffle haus for breakfast, before heading to the munchen haus for brats and beer. |
Big inflatible things, part of the Oktoberfest celebration. |
Main street, and the mountains. |
More color. |
The Munchen Haus. I would say "The patio at the Munchen Haus", but the patio is all they've got, so that would be redundant. |
Keith Keranen and Peter Shanaman. |
Me, Mosely, and I forgot the other guy's name. |
Matt? and Mark. I guess that's one strategy if you forget someone's name: Just assign them a new one, and append a question mark. |
Nick and me. |
I couldn't seem to get his attention to actually smile for the camera, so these will have to do. |
Rain threatening, but it was all talk. |
Matt and Mark checking out some truck in the parking lot behind the Munchen Haus. Seconds before I took this picture, they both had their heads way down into the wheel well. |
Nick and Matt? wanted to head back to Idaho today (Nick had things to do on Sunday, apparently) so we walked them back to their car, after walking around town for awhile. |
Ivy changing colors across the street from where we parked. |
More color, along main street this time. In fact, I think I have another picture of this same tree earlier today. |
More of main street Leavenworth. |
Me and Buckner, back at the Munchen Haus now. |
Mosely made a friend. |
A gruff-looking guy at the next table? Why does he look so sad? |
Clearly because Keith is there. |
I couldn't tell if this was snow or not on top of that mountain. But, upon further investigation, I must have been drunk. |
